Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday interrogated Fuji king, Wasiu Ayinde, KWAM 1, over the shooting of a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
According to Vanguard, KWAM 1, who arrived the Eleweran Command headquarters of the police around 11am, was interrogated by police operatives attached to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau for about six hours before he was released on bail.
The student, identified as Azeez Kofoworola of the Department of Business Education, was shot on Saturday, October 10 by one of KWAM 1 band members.
She was hit while sitting inside an unregistered Honda Accord car belonging to an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, identified as Hassan Afeez.
The incident occurred at Limelight Hotel in Ago-Iwoye during a party organised by the owner to mark the Ago-Iwoye day.
KWAM 1 had initially refused to honour police invitation and would have been declared wanted this week.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer , Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that Wasiu’s case was transferred to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau on the order of the Commissioner of Police.
Oyeyemi added said that KWAM 1 left the premises of the Eleweran Command Headquarters around 5:30p.m on the promise that he would make himself available for further questioning.
He said Wasiu provided a reliable surety, who is expected to produce him any time he was summoned by the Police.
